ABOUT THE ARTIST

Choung-Hee Lim is a fine artist based in Northern Virginia and educated in New York City (School of Visual Arts - BFA Sculpture '04), Japan, and Korea. Her artwork can best be described as informal, free, and spontaneous. Working off a simple vision, she embarks on an uncalculated journey to organically create artwork that inspires viewers to re-examine abstract concepts.

Choung-Hee Lim endeavors to create natural artwork that embraces serendipity, and strongly believes that her art can only be created when she is working with nature. In an effort to create artwork that is free and uninhibited, she goes through a process that she describes as action creation to draw energy into each piece and bring it to life.
